Fidelity Energy is proud to announce that we are founding members of the Energy Consultants Association (ECA), which is an independent, self-regulated trade body that represents and safeguards the interests of energy consultants and intermediaries in the United Kingdom.
Since Fidelity Energy was established in 2015, the market has been largely unregulated, except for very few rules set out by energy suppliers. From the start of trading, Fidelity Energy’s purpose has always been to become an enviable business within the Utility industry in an honest, legal and motivational manner. That is why we have never used verbal contracts, make all the terms in our Letter of Authority (LOA) clear and led the way in 2021 in adding a full commission disclosure on all SME contracts before the regulation in December 2022.
Given this proactive approach we took to self-regulation, we were invited to form a trade body to set standards and meet with OFGEM. The ECA are strong believers in the power of collective action and the importance of input from members of the energy industry. As a founding member, our mission is to promote the best practices that benefit both ECA members and our customers with a focus on transparency, ethical conduct, and advocacy for fair practices in the energy brokering industry.
Fidelity Energy is dedicated to upholding the highest standards in the energy industry. We are confident that by working together we can help create a stronger industry and protect the interests of ECA members and our customers.
