A 249V to 220V voltage optimisation install at The Old Bank hotel, saving £36,284 a year with minimal disruption.
The Oxford Collection was spending over £242,000 a year on energy at one of its hotels. With prices rising and sustainability targets to meet, it wanted to cut consumption and emissions without affecting the guest experience it is known for.
After a site survey we recommended a voltage optimisation system to bring the site's voltage down from 249V to 220V, supported by a full survey and an energy savings report.
The installation caused minimal disruption, with generator backup for critical IT systems. An intelligent monitoring system shows voltage and power savings and billing comparisons, so the hotel can track the results.
Peak electricity usage at the hotel is down 17%, saving £36,284 a year, and the project paid for itself in under one year.
The system also avoids 18,631kg of CO2 emissions a year.
