A green energy tender across 24+ suppliers and a voltage optimisation roll-out for Deliveroo's delivery-only kitchen sites.
Deliveroo runs more than 200 delivery-only kitchen sites across the UK and takes its environmental responsibility seriously. The task was to find a green energy solution that also made economic sense.
We ran a full procurement exercise, evaluating 24+ suppliers to find the best green option for each site, and consolidated contract end dates across the estate.
We then rolled out voltage optimisation units. Most UK appliances need 220 volts to run at their best, while the national grid averages 242 volts and we have seen it as high as 261. A voltage optimisation unit brings the supply down to the level the equipment needs.
The green energy tender delivered £2.75M in annual savings.
The voltage optimisation roll-out saves £92K a year, reduces energy use, extends the life of appliances and has cut carbon emissions by 87,444kg.
