Sean runs 26.2 miles for local charity

Sean runs the marathon to bring fun and inclusivity back to the lives of those with physical disabilities

Children with disabilities face problems in their everyday life that most adults take for granted. Oxford based charity, Special Effect have developed systems for children ranging from larger controllers and customised pads to eye-controlled video games – which Sean confirms take a lot of skill!
Special Effect are a small charity based in Oxford that have a large input into bringing normality and joy to those who without them may never get to play Mario Kart or Minecraft.
Fidelity’s Head of Channel, Sean Dixon, was introduced to the charity over 6 years ago and has seen first hand the great work they do and the impact they have on young people’s lives. Sean ran this year’s London Marathon to help raise funds and awareness for this incredible charity.
After picking up an injury four weeks before last year’s race and having to withdraw, Sean got training again and managed to complete this year’s the marathon in X and raise a super £4,551.00, so far.
Sean said; “I have had the privilege of meeting the Special Effect team along with the families that they help, and one of the families told me the biggest problem now is getting their child off the video game.”

Uniq2u

Poor support from the major energy companies is providing a unique opportunity for mobile comms specialist ‘Uniq2u’.

The Staffordshire based reseller has strategic partnerships with key comms suppliers to deliver the solutions customers need with a service wrap which they claim is second to none. Now, alongside Fidelity Energy, the company has added energy to its portfolio and director Gareth Jenkins has been bowled over by the response to date.

“The Uniq2u customer offer is simple. SME businesses rely on their telecoms as much as corporate customers but are unable to get the same service direct from the networks. Our customers choose to work with us rather than one of the large networks directly and the same applies to the supply of energy. They are fed up with the service provided by the big energy customers and value the personal support we provide.

“As with most telecoms companies, time is a limited resource. The Fidelity Energy offering requires no additional overhead or operational impact. All my customers were already buying energy and the ability to manage their requirements and costs more effectively than they could themselves seemed like a win-win scenario. Weve already seen success in 2016 and are looking to grow the Energy offering at Uniq2u over the next year as we see this as a bolt on for current customers and the products we are already managing for them.”

Jenkins is impressed with how quickly he has been able to start offering energy services and values the support Fidelity Energy provides.

“Following an initial meeting, Fidelity Energy offered a full white labelled marketing suite along with sales support and inside industry tips. Fidelity Energy manage all operational and regulatory requirements so we can focus on our customers. Initially we worked with existing customers, but we have found that energy can be a great first product to sell to a new customer due to a short sales cycle and the instant benefits.

“For most customers once they are open to a review the process is very simple. For anything outside the norm Fidelity Energy are on hand to give full support the product offering to ensure the customer journey is a smooth one.”

The Uniq2u team have not yet come across any customers cautious about changing their energy supplier and Jenkins says he can now confidently address larger energy opportunities.

“Most of our customers had never reviewed their energy and they were glad when I could offer a review of over 20 suppliers in the market and give them a multiple forward procurement strategy with Fidelity Energy. We are working through the range of customers we currently have as well as focusing on large consumers of power and multi-sites as Fidelity Energy has some unique offerings in these areas.”

Bath Rugby Club

Bath Rugby Club have their headquarters in a Grade 1 listed building. This makes energy efficiency a major issue. Their usage was substantially higher than a comparable modern building. The club’s growth had also raised energy costs as usage became more and more necessary and more and more common. They were keen to start proactively managing their energy requirements and hopefully lower their costs in the process. Introduced to Fidelity Energy through our partnership with the RPA, we began looking into their energy consumption. We then began managing the process through from start to finish. Dealing with their existing suppliers and helping to negotiate contracts with new ones we set about formulating a solution that would fit their requirements. Taking the entire process from start to finish we were able to make the club a large saving on their energy costs. On top of which we were able to secure favourable contract lengths and end dates. Maintaining Momentum

A great way of maintaining momentum until a deal is locked in

It’s a problem faced by us all: the customer agrees on the phone to send you their bills but days pass and despite a follow up call nothing is received.  To tackle this ongoing challenge and ensure you remain front of mind with the customer we suggest following up, once a customer commits to sending their bills, with one of our low energy light bulb packs. As well as the low energy light bulb, the pack contains a flyer highlighting the benefits of using the bulb, plus a personalised letter reminding them to send their bills in order to save even more on their energy costs. We even include a stamped addressed envelope to make the process even smoother. We then follow up with a call within 48 hours checking that they received the pack and encouraging them to put the bills in the envelope and post them back to us. We have seen some strong results so urge you to try this process in order to drive more bills in for processing. We have teamed up with the guys at SaveMoneyCutCarbon to supply the bulbs.  For more information on them click below. If you need any support from us to pull a campaign like this on together please ask your IAM for help. https://www.savemoneycutcarbon.com/

M Restaurants

M Restaurants was founded by Martin Williams, having moved on from 9 years as Managing Director of the highly acclaimed Gaucho restaurants chain. M prides itself on delivering excellent quality and excellent service.

We were thrilled when they asked us to look into their energy requirements for them. They required an ongoing energy package which would give them competitive rates across their restaurants. They also wanted to be sure that the energy tariff benefits would also suit their requirements.

Their two largest energy expenditures were on electricity and gas. Running large, busy kitchens required almost constant use of both resources and as a result the energy bill was a major cost.

We began by looking through our bank of suppliers and searching for gas and electricity deals that would match with their requirements. Approaching suppliers directly we were able to broker deals on their behalf, helping build up a really diverse range of options.

What we delivered for them were electricity and gas contracts with varied term options that perfectly matched their needs. We were able to save the restaurant chain over £57,000 in energy costs over the contract terms.

Founder and CEO of M Restaurants

We got in touch with Fidelity Energy in June 2015 when our existing energy contracts were up for review. Fidelity Energy demonstrated a sound understanding of both our industry and an in-depth knowledge of the UK energy market and delivered new contracts that have benefited our organisation. We were provided with recommendations for both electricity and gas, the different term options available and the benefits of working with each supplier. The new contracts offered by Fidelity Energy resulted in M Restaurant saving £57,715 over the term of the new contracts. Fidelity Energy now checks our bills to ensure these are correct and proactively contacts us about the existing contracts to make sure we are always on the best deal. As a fast-growing chain of restaurants, we need an energy partner that works with us and supports when opening new sites. Fidelity Energy has taken all the stress out of procuring our new energy supplies; we would therefore have no hesitation in recommending Fidelity Energy for its services.
